Class Features:
Wilderness Talent (Prime): At the indicated levels, Wardens may choose one of the following options—each choice may be taken more than once or not at all:

  • Companions: The Warden may have a number of loyal animal companions equal to ½ their level. These animals are normal for creatures of their type except as noted below, and act on your initiative in combat. The warden and the animal each gain a trait of the other due to their spiritual bond, such as improved senses, natural weapons, natural armor, elemental traits or natural toxins. By spending 4 mana, the warden may see through their companions senses for up to 10 minutes. When choosing this option a second time, you may gain a second companion or improve your bond with another companion.
  • Nature Spells: The Warden may have access to one or more levels of spells which must be taken from the Nature list, or from the following mantles (Air, Animal, Earth, Electric, Fire, Hunt, Ice, Plant or Water). Once a Warden gains this ability, they learn 2 spells, and 2 more spells each time they level up. They start with access to 2nd tier spells, and must use further Wilderness Talent or Major Gift choices to increase their level of known spells. A Warden cannot gain 3rd tier spells until level 3, 4th tier spells until level 5, 5th tier spells until level 7 or 6th tier spells until level 9.

Wild Empathy (Passive): Wardens may always use Charisma to interact with Beast-type creatures (or even similar creatures, at the GM’s decision). They are able to spend 3 mana any amount of times to gain extra dice on such attempts. They have a bonus on all Perception checks while in natural areas equal to half their level.
